Vina Zorzal, Sea of Dreams 2023

The story of Vina Zorzal began in 1989, when, after a lifetime working in wine, Antonio Sanz fulfilled his dream of producing his own wines in his native Navarra. He realised that making great wines depends more so on the vineyard than the winery, and today Antonio's sons, Jorge & Javier, continue their father's approach to organic farming & winemaking. Sea of Dreams 2023 from a blend of 65% Viura and 35% Garnacha Blanca. The Viura is fermented on its lees in a 500l concrete egg and the Garnacha Blanca in a neutral oak barrel to retain freshness in the final blend. The nose is richly aromatic, with notes of almond, tarragon and lemon. On the palate, it has flavours of mandarin and baked pear. It’s a savoury, textural, and immensely food friendly wine best served with grilled chicken or pork. Only 6600 bottles produced.
